Tiger The Rebel

PGA: Tiger, you spoke out against our rulings in a derogatory way. We are going to have to fine you.

Tiger: No you won't.

PGA: Okay, thanks for stopping by!

I think it's safe to say that if someone like Retief Goosen or Sean O'Hair spoke harshly against the PGA, they would have received a fine. But that isn't the problem.

The PGA has been the "stick up the ass" organization in the world of sports for several years. The PGA put the clock on leaders Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington when they decided to take their time on a few holes.

Harrington and Woods were the only pair in contention at the time, and the PGA decided they were taking too long and put the clock on them. This wouldn't normally be a big deal, however, this change of pace rattled Harrington to the core, and messed up his timing to the point that he bombed 2 holes in a row.

The PGA has been so behind the times whether it's mis-signed scorecards or some other act that gets blown way out of proportion simply because it goes against the 'tradition'.

The tour may think they are preserving tradition and the old-style of play, but they are becoming some of the biggest hypocrites in sports. They have already sold out their tournaments to huge sponsors and let their players do the same. They are using high-tech clubs and so much more. I understand you should have a limit on the advancement of the game, but the PGA has to find a way to be a tad more lenient and not seem like it has a stick up its ass all the time.
